Koivun Dominates – World No. 1 Scheffler Falls Short
World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler staged an impressive comeback on Sunday with a bogey-free round of 63, but Koivun remained unfazed. With a composed final round of 5 Par (66), he ultimately won by three strokes. Scheffler received $959,200 in prize money for his second-place finish (22 under Par)—marking his fifth runner-up finish of the season.
Four players tied for third place at 20 under Par: Hideki Matsuyama, Brian Harman, Chandler Phillips, and Denny McCarthy—each received $429,550 in prize money.

Historic Rookie Victory—and the FedExCup Implications
Koivun is the fourth rookie winner of the 2026 season and the seventh first-time winner overall. With his triumph, he jumps 124 spots to No. 70 in the FedExCup standings—narrowly securing a spot in the playoffs. In addition to the prize money, he received 500 FedExCup points as well as exemptions to THE PLAYERS Championship, the Masters, and the 2027 PGA Championship.
