Céline Boutier has won the ShopRite LPGA Classic 2026, making an impressive return to the LPGA Tour winner's circle after a title drought of more than two years. The 32-year-old Frenchwoman prevailed last Sunday on the Bay Course of the Seaview Hotel & Golf Club in Galloway, New Jersey, and secured the prize money of 300,000 US dollars out of a total purse of 2 million US dollars.

With a final round of 66 (five under par), Boutier turned around a four-stroke deficit to the leader and finished the 54-hole tournament with a total score of nine under par (204 strokes). She delivered the decisive moment on the 14th hole, where she sank a 35-foot Birdie Putter and took the sole lead - which she never relinquished until the end.
Arpichaya Yubol from Thailand took second place on eight under Par and received prize money of 183,814 US dollars. Ireland's Lauren Walsh, a rookie on the LPGA Tour, achieved the best result of her young career with a solo third place (seven under Par) and collected 133,344 US dollars. Fourth place was shared by Polly Mack, Chizzy Iwai, Somi Lee and Soo Bin Joo - also personal career bests for several of the participants - with 77,742 US dollars each.

The total prize money of 2 million US dollars is one of the smaller budgets on the LPGA Tour, but in no way makes the tournament any less important. With the U.S. Women's Open taking place the following week in Pacific Palisades, California, many of the world's best players opted not to compete at the Jersey Shore. This gave a number of players the chance to have an outstanding week at the tournament.
For Boutier, the victory - her seventh LPGA title - also represents an important financial milestone: the winner's cheque takes her career earnings to 9.5 million US dollars. She won her last LPGA title at the Maybank Championship 2023 in Malaysia and her only Major title at the Amundi Evian Championship 2023.
"I feel like my game has turned around in the last few weeks," said Boutier. "I could see it coming together - but I definitely didn't expect it to be this week and today."

After this emotional triumph - which included a moving encounter with 11-year-old cancer patient and LPGA superfan Evelyn King-White - Boutier travels to the U.S. Women's Open at Riviera Country Club invigorated. A second major title would be the next step in a season that is clearly only just picking up speed for the Frenchwoman.
