33 events, more than $147 million in prize money, and about 12,000 fewer travel miles: The 2027 LPGA Tour calendar combines more efficient season planning with new tournaments and familiar golf courses. Highlights include two consecutive weeks in Hawaii and the debut of the AIG Women’s Open at Royal St. George’s. Here’s an overview of all dates, venues, and prize money.
A tournament calendar rarely sparks waves of enthusiasm. But when the 2027 season schedule was unveiled, that clearly wasn’t the case. “I’ve never seen players applaud like they did for this calendar,” Ricki Lasky, the LPGA’s Chief Tour Business and Operations Officer, told Golf Digest. The Tour had already presented the draft to its players at the FM Championship in August.
On October 7, the LPGA released the calendar. Like in 2026, it comprises a total of 33 events. The key changes, therefore, lie less in the number of events than in their composition and order. Commissioner Craig Kessler is focusing on three areas: travel itineraries, host venues, and prize money. The new season schedule shows progress on all three fronts—even if some challenges remain.
The season begins in February with the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions at the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Orlando. With this move, the LPGA is shifting its season opener from January to February. The tour then heads to Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong, followed by two tournaments in Hawaii. After that, it’s on to Arizona and California, and finally to the first major in Houston.
This geographically contiguous sequence is intended to reduce the burden of travel. According to Golf Digest and Golfweek, the new calendar saves approximately 12,000 travel miles compared to 2026. That’s equivalent to about 19,300 kilometers. This figure reflects the change in the tour route, not the personal savings for each player: the actual distances traveled will also depend on individual tournament schedules.
“Our calendar affects everyone involved, but our players remain at the center of its design,” Kessler explained in the official announcement. The LPGA aims to create more opportunities for rest and a more efficient organization. The Tour will nevertheless remain international: The calendar takes players through 11 countries and Hong Kong, as well as 13 U.S. states.
Hong Kong is getting a new tournament: the Futu Ladies World Championship presented by Moomoo. A total of $3.4 million in prize money will be up for grabs at the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club. This will be followed immediately by the Nanea Cup—also a new event—at the Nanea Golf Club in Kailua-Kona on Hawaii’s Big Island, with a prize purse of $4 million.
The second week in Hawaii is dedicated to the LOTTE Championship. It’s moving from the fall to the spring and relocating to the Plantation Course in Kapalua on Maui. The course, familiar from decades of PGA Tour broadcasts, will thus become part of the new spring schedule. The prize money totals $3 million.
There’s a return to the state of New York: for the first time since 2009, the Tour is returning to the Corning Country Club. The tournament is now called The Classic and offers a prize purse of $5 million. In the European summer block, “The Championship” in the United Kingdom has been added. The event, with a prize purse of $4 million, will take the slot before the AIG Women’s Open, previously occupied by the Women’s Scottish Open. The host venue has yet to be determined.
In addition to the Women’s Scottish Open, the Kroger Queen City Championship, the Aramco Championship, and the Blue Bay LPGA are also missing from the previous calendar.
According to the LPGA, total prize money will exceed $147 million for the first time in 2027. More than $94 million of that will come from events outside the five majors. That’s nearly $12 million more than in 2026.
The Classic tops the prize money list outside the majors and the CME Group Tour Championship with $5 million. It is followed by the JM Eagle LA Championship with $4.75 million and the FM Championship with $4.7 million. The season finale, the CME Group Tour Championship, offers $11 million in prize money.
In addition to higher prize money, the Tour is planning additional benefits: At ten events, all participants are set to receive a minimum payment. Nearly 20 tournaments are expected to offer hotel, airfare, and/or transportation benefits. Especially for players who don’t regularly compete for the top prizes, such offers can help offset the costs of an international season. The specific benefits available vary by event.

The major season begins in April with the Chevron Championship at Memorial Park Golf Course in Houston. This is followed by the U.S. Women’s Open at the Inverness Club in Toledo and the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship at the Congressional Country Club in Bethesda.
In July, the schedule heads to Europe: The Amundi Evian Championship at the Evian Resort Golf Club in France is followed in late July by the AIG Women’s Open at Royal St. George’s. According to the LPGA, the English links course has already hosted 15 men’s Open Championships. This will be the first time a women’s golf major is held there.
The five majors offer a combined prize purse of $53.6 million. Despite improved travel planning, the time between them remains tight: As Golfweek points out, three majors are scheduled within six weeks and four within nine weeks. Consequently, the summer remains challenging for the players.
In September, the Hanwha PLUS International Crown team competition returns, this time at Lake Merced Golf Club in California. Following the fall Asian leg in South Korea, China, Malaysia, and Japan, the season finale will take place in Florida. The published calendar also includes the Grant Thornton Invitational in December.

All information is valid for 2027. The five majors are highlighted in bold; the prize money figures refer to the total prize pool for each competition, not just the winner’s share.
