Zach Johnson won the 2026 Kaulig Companies Championship, claiming his first major title on the PGA Tour Champions. The 50-year-old American finished the tournament at Firestone Country Club in Akron, Ohio, at 15 under Par (265 strokes) and won by a margin of six strokes. The tournament’s total purse was $3,500,000—of which Johnson claimed $525,000.
Here is the final leaderboard for the 2026 Kaulig Companies Championship on the PGA Tour Champions.
Johnson laid the groundwork for his triumph with a flawless 63 in the third round and entered the final round with a four-stroke lead. Despite three Bogey shots on Sunday, he held on to the lead. Three closing Birdies on holes 16, 17, and 18—including a holed-out Chip on the final hole—proved decisive. This is already Johnson’s third victory in his rookie season on the PGA Tour Champions, which he has been competing on since February 2026.
Boo Weekley finished with a 66 at 9 under Par (271) to take second place—earning $308,000 in prize money. Rory Sabbatini, the 2020 Tokyo Olympic silver medalist, followed in third place at 8 under Par (272) and received $252,000. Stewart Cink, who had previously won two major titles this season, rounded out the top four with a score of 7 under Par (273) and prize money of $210,000.

The victory holds special significance for Johnson: With this win, he has qualified for the 2027 Players Championship on the PGA Tour. At the same time, the 2026 Kaulig Companies Championship was the last major held at the historic Firestone Country Club—starting in 2027, the tournament will take place in Newport Beach, California, under a new title sponsor. Johnson, who has won the 2007 Masters and the 2015 Open Championship, among other titles, in his regular Tour career, was visibly moved after the victory: “I feel very happy and incredibly blessed. The finish was unbelievable.”
