Odyssey expands its premium segment and launches a limited edition with the new Damascus Milled Putter. The focus is on a Damascus steel insert with an individual grain - combined with an Ai-optimized contour structure on the back, which is intended to support a more constant ball speed across the clubface. Added to this are fully milled stainless steel heads and a deliberately understated, elegant finish.
Odyssey uses a Damascus steel insert for this series, which is made from a layered steel construction. The typical wave-like pattern is created by a complex process (forging, folding, pressing and heat) - so no two inserts are the same. The visual "one-of-one" character is only half the story: according to Odyssey, the combination of different strength steel layers is also intended to deliver clearer, firmer feedback - just as many golfers expect from premium putters.
At the same time, modern development work has gone into the details: on the back of the insert, Odyssey uses an Ai-supported contour topology to keep the ball speed more constant across the entire clubface. The idea behind this: the direct, "honest" feedback of a premium Putter - without unnecessarily large speed losses on slightly offset hits.
Several Tour-proven Odyssey shapes are part of the series at launch, including One Wide, Two, Seven, Rossie and Jailbird Mini. The #7 shape, which comes in different configurations, is particularly in focus:
The Damascus Milled Putters are aimed at passionate golfers across all handicap classes who are looking for high-quality workmanship, direct feedback and a special look in a putter.
The series is particularly exciting if you..
Odyssey will launch the Damascus Milled Putters as a limited drop on May 5, 2026. Depending on the market, prices will be in the range of around $699 (USA) or around £569 / €669 (UK/EU). Due to the limited nature of the product, it can be assumed that the quantities will sell out quickly.
