Two series, seven models, one goal: more consistency on the course. With the King and Baffler series, Cobra presents a well-designed line of irons that caters to golfers of all levels, from beginners to ambitious players. We’ll introduce both series—and help you make the right choice.
Cobra Golf is one of the most innovative club manufacturers in the industry. With the King and Baffler series, the American manufacturer caters to two distinct groups of players—each with multiple variants designed to accommodate different swing speeds, handicap ranges, and playing styles. Anyone interested in new irons will find a wide selection in the Cobra lineup: from technologically advanced game-improvement irons to particularly player-friendly combo sets with Hybrid designs. The key question isn’t just “Which irons are the best?”, but above all: “Which irons suit my game?”

The Cobra King series is the more technologically advanced of the two lines. At its core is the consistent use of modern manufacturing technologies—a combination that’s new to the industry: Cobra integrates a 3D-printed medallion with a complex lattice structure into the clubhead. The result is a noticeable reduction in weight, which allows the center of gravity to be strategically lowered—directly impacting forgiveness, ball flight stability, and launch characteristics.
This design principle is complemented by three additional key technologies shared by all models in the King series:
Depending on the model, the series is designed for female and male golfers with handicaps ranging from approximately 12 to 48+.

Cobra King – The model for golfers with medium to fast swing speeds. These irons feature generous lofts, a player-oriented profile, and optimized weight distribution that combines maximum distance with noticeable forgiveness. The set includes nine clubs (4-Iron through SW) and is available with both steel and graphite shafts. Recommended for handicaps 12–36.
Cobra King MAX – The MAX version is designed for golfers with a more moderate swing speed or a higher handicap. A larger oversize profile, greater offset, and lofts increased by two degrees make it significantly easier to get the ball airborne and promote a natural Draw tendency. Those who frequently tend to Slice will find design features here to help correct that tendency. Set includes nine clubs (4-Iron through SW). Recommended for handicaps 24–48+.
Cobra King MAX Women’s – The women’s version of the MAX series features the proven oversize design and complements it with a specially tuned lightweight graphite shaft (KBS PGI BKS V55, Flex L, 55 g) as well as a women’s-specific swing weight (C6). The result is an exceptionally light, effortless swing with a high ball flight and maximum forgiveness. Set includes: eight clubs (5-Iron to SW). Recommended for handicaps 24–48+.

The Cobra Baffler Series follows a different philosophy than the King line. Instead of relying on a uniform iron design, each Baffler set combines different club technologies into a harmoniously balanced package. The goal: maximum support in every playing situation—from the tee to long approach shots to the short game around the green.
At the heart of the series is the legendary Baffler Rail technology: rails on the sole of the long and mid-iron clubs stabilize the clubhead as it glides through the turf, reduce digging, and ensure consistent ball strikes. The shorter irons and Wedges do not feature the rails—here, control and versatility take center stage.
Depending on the model, up to five different club designs are used:
The entire Baffler series is designed for golfers with a handicap of approximately 24–48+.

Cobra Baffler – The series’ entry-level model combines four construction types (Hybrid irons 6–7, hollow irons 8–9, cavity-back PW–SW) and, with the Cobra 2025 Ultralite shaft in R and A flex, offers good playability for golfers with moderate swing speeds. The most affordable men’s Set in comparison. Set includes: seven clubs (6-Iron through SW).
Cobra Baffler Women’s – The women’s version of the Baffler iron set is designed for light, effortless play. The ultra-light women’s shaft (Flex L, approx. 50 g) and the women’s-optimized swing weight (C2) enable higher clubhead speeds and an easy ball launch. The set starts with the 7-iron, making it ideal for female golfers who prefer short Irons. Set includes: six clubs (7-iron through SW).
Cobra Baffler Combo – The most comprehensive men’s model in the Baffler series starts with two Hybrids (4H & 5H), offering the most complete package for golfers who want to replace their long Irons entirely with Hybrids. Five different club designs ensure seamless transitions from the Tee to the green. Set contents: seven clubs (4H to PW). Recommended for handicaps 24–48+.
Cobra Baffler Combo Women’s – The women’s version of the Combo set combines two Hybrids (5H & 6H) with hybrid irons, hollow irons, and cavity-back Wedges, offering the most comprehensive set of all women’s models. The lightweight ladies’ swing weight (C2) and Ultralite shaft provide optimal support for moderate swing speeds. Set includes: eight clubs (5H to SW). Recommended for handicaps 24–48+.

Both series share the overarching goal of helping golfers achieve greater consistency and forgiveness. The key difference, however, lies in their design philosophy: The King series relies on technologically advanced, uniform iron designs with a focus on ball speed and a modern feel at impact. The Baffler series, on the other hand, prioritizes maximum playability through the use of different club technologies within a single set—with a special emphasis on ground interaction and the easiest possible ball launch.
