The search for the perfect symbiosis of control and distance has a new goal. With the Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver, the manufacturer presents an innovative solution that is already causing a sensation on Tour. Find out all the details about this new precision tool for golfers here.
A new category is establishing itself in the world of golf equipment: the Mini Driver. Cobra is now occupying this segment with the Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver (TEC-MD), which closes the gap between the massive 460cc Driver and the often too small 3-wood. The model will be officially available in stores from January 16, 2026.
The fact that the new club is far more than just a niche product is proven by its use on professional Tours around the world. Professional players such as Lexi Thompson and Gary Woodland already rely on the Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver.
Particularly noteworthy: Thompson, who is normally considered to be extremely loyal to her equipment and rarely changes it, immediately integrated the TEC-MD into her setup. This speaks for the enormous confidence that the compact shape and consistent ball flight inspire in demanding players.
With a head volume of 303cc, the club offers a significantly larger hitting zone than a conventional Fairwaywood, but remains much more maneuverable than a standard Driver.
The unique selling point that sets the Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver technologically apart from the competition is the innovative FutureFit33 hosel. "No other hosel system to date has offered 33 unique loft and lie settings that can be adjusted so quickly and easily," explains Jose Miraflor, VP of Product Architecture at Cobra Puma Golf.
With this system, players can adjust the loft (standard 13.5°) and lie angle independently of each other by up to +/- 2 degrees. This makes the TEC-MD one of the most precisely adjustable clubs on the market today.
Why should you consider the Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver? With a standard shaft length of 43.75 inches (similar to a Fairwaywood), the club is much easier to control than a classic Driver. The result is a tighter spread and a higher rate of Fairway hits.
At the same time, the sole construction is optimized so that the club can also be played directly from the Fairway ("off the deck") without any problems. If you want to attack the green on long Par 5 holes, the TEC-MD is a reliable partner.
The official launch will take place on January 16, 2026. If you would like to add this new product to your bag, you can find the key data here:
If you struggle to keep the 460cc Driver consistently on the fairway, or if you are looking for a powerful alternative for long Fairway shots, the Cobra KING TEC Mini Driver is an excellent choice. The combination of the extreme adjustability of FutureFit33 and the proven PWRSHELL technology makes it one of the most exciting releases for all golfers in 2026.
