Cobra introduces the new DS-Adapt iron series, which, with two model variants—Standard and MAX—appeals to a wide range of golfers with medium to high handicaps. The irons were designed to deliver maximum distance and forgiveness, making the game easier for golfers of all skill levels.
The Cobra DS-Adapt iron series is equipped with a range of advanced technologies tailored to the needs of golfers seeking supportive clubs:
• 360 Speedshell Face: Cobra’s largest face-cup design extends across the entire toe and sole areas, providing increased face flexibility. This results in greater ball speed and distance, especially on off-center hits.
• H.O.T. Face Technology: The face topology has been optimized to maximize ball speed across the entire face. This results in more consistent performance and greater distance, even on off-center hits.
• PWR-Bridge Weighting: The redesigned weighting system utilizes the weight saved by the hollow body construction to lower the center of gravity. This results in a higher ball launch and an optimal combination of distance and forgiveness.
• Hollow Body Construction with Foam Microspheres: The hollow body construction increases the flexibility of the body and face, resulting in higher ball speed and an easier launch. The cavity filled with foam microspheres delivers a pleasant sound and a soft feel at impact.
• TECFLO construction: This progressive design uses different configurations for long, mid, and short Irons to optimize gapping and improve the Set’s overall performance.
The DS-Adapt Standard model was developed specifically for golfers with a mid-handicap who are looking for a balanced combination of distance, forgiveness, and accuracy. The progressive TECFLO construction ensures optimal performance in all areas of the game. The different designs for long, mid, and short irons optimize gapping and improve the Set’s overall performance.
The Cobra DS-Adapt MAX model, on the other hand, is a forgiving alternative for golfers with a high handicap and moderate swing speed. The oversized head, high moment of inertia, shallower lofts, wider sole, and additional offset provide maximum forgiveness, an easy ball launch, and a straighter ball flight. Compared to the standard model, the MAX model offers a higher launch, more spin, a higher trajectory, a steeper launch angle, and a pronounced Draw bias. This model is suitable for golfers who struggle with a Slice and are looking for more support with their shots.
The DS-Adapt MAX irons are also available in a women’s model to give female golfers the opportunity to benefit from these forgiving irons.
The Cobra DS-Adapt iron series offers golfers with medium to high handicaps a combination of distance, forgiveness, and Performance. With advanced technologies and two model variants tailored to different player types, Cobra Golf aims to expand its market share in the game-improvement Iron segment.
“COBRA has long been a leader in game-improvement irons, but the new DS-ADAPT family represents a significant breakthrough in both performance and fitting,” said Jose Miraflor, VP of Product Architecture and Consumer Connections at Cobra Puma Golf. “We have two models that cater to a broad group of players with varying swing speeds, all of whom are looking for maximum distance, exceptional forgiveness, and optimal overall performance.”
The Cobra DS-Adapt irons have been available in stores since January 17, 2025. The MSRP is 899 euros for the steel set and 1,169 euros for the graphite set.
