No club in the bag determines victory or defeat as often as the Putter. Players who perform with confidence and precision on the green save strokes—round after round. Odyssey has been one of the world’s most renowned putter brands for decades and is once again setting new standards with the new Ai-DUAL series. Four models, cutting-edge technology, and one goal: to offer the perfect Odyssey Putter for every player.
At the heart of the entire series is the Ai-DUAL insert —a two-layer construction developed using artificial intelligence, consisting of a soft outer layer and a firm inner layer. The result: consistent ball speed across the entire face, improved forward roll, and a soft, comfortable feel at impact—regardless of whether the ball is struck in the center or slightly off-center.
The insert is complemented by FRD Groove Technology (Forward Roll Design). The more aggressive, deeper grooves with a 19° angle ensure that the ball transitions into a smooth forward roll immediately after contact. This significantly reduces unwanted skidding effects that can cause the ball to veer off course.
Three of the four models also utilize the Zero-Torque principle: A center-shafted design positions the shaft directly below the center of gravity axis, so that the putter head rests with the tip pointing upward. This promotes a perfectly Square face throughout the entire putting stroke—more stability, more consistency, more confidence.
Despite sharing the same technological foundation, the four models differ significantly in head shape, shaft construction, and alignment system. Depending on your putting style and personal preference, there’s a clear recommendation.
The Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square Jailbird OS is the most versatile model in the series. The distinctive Jailbird shape instills confidence at address, the center-shafted design ensures zero torque, and the built-in Forward Press along with the Reverse Taper Grip make the setup intuitive. It is the only model in the series available for both left- and right-handed players—a definite plus for anyone who plays left-handed.
Those who prefer a more classic Mallet shape but don’t want to sacrifice any of the technological benefits will find what they’re looking for in the Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square #7 OS. It shares all the technology with the Jailbird but features the familiar #7 head geometry—ideal for golfers who play with a straight, arc-free putting stroke and want to stick with a proven design.

The Ai-DUAL Double Wide ½ Ball plays a special role: As the only Blade putter in the series, it appeals to players who prefer an arcing putting stroke and appreciate the classic Blade look. The wider head gives it more stability than a conventional Blade, while the ½ Ball alignment technology makes precise alignment easier. Added to this is the lighter SL 90 shaft with a 20–30 g counterweight in the grip end for a smoother, more consistent putting stroke.
Finally, the Ai-DUAL Square 2 Square Max ½ Ball is designed for anyone seeking maximum stability and an extra-large Mallet design. With a head weight of 380 g, a shaft length of 38", and its oversized format, it is designed for the arm-lock style. The combination of Zero-Torque technology and ½ Ball Alignment makes it the most technologically advanced model in the series.
The following table summarizes which model is best suited for which type of player:
| Who is it for? | Recommended Model |
|---|---|
| Straight putt motion | Jailbird S2S, #7 S2S, or Max ½ Ball |
| Arched putting stroke | Double Wide ½ Ball |
| Left-handed players | Jailbird S2S |
| Blade-style preferred | Double Wide ½ Ball |
| Maximum Stability / Oversized | Max ½ Ball |
| Classic Mallet feel | #7 S2S |
