The Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR), as of October 13, 2026, shows no change at the top. Scottie Scheffler leads by a wide margin ahead of Rory McIlroy and Matt Fitzpatrick. Grant Forrest made the biggest jump of the week: The Scot won the DP World Tour’s Open de España and climbed from No. 296 to No. 140.
There were also significant changes further down the rankings. Austin Hitt rose from No. 224 to No. 164, and Victor Perez from No. 171 to No. 129.

On the PGA Tour, Michael Brennan won the Baycurrent Classic in Kanagawa, Japan (October 8–11). The American moved up from No. 33 to No. 20, gaining 13 spots. A week earlier, Austin Smotherman took the title at the Bank of Utah Championship in Ivins (October 1–4). Smotherman moved up from No. 67 to No. 66.
On the DP World Tour, Grant Forrest won the Open de España in Madrid (October 8–11). The Scot climbed from No. 296 to No. 140. Adrian Meronk won the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland (October 1–4). Despite the victory, the Pole dropped from No. 145 to No. 150.
Grant Forrest made the biggest jump among the climbers. Following his victory at the Open de España, the Scot climbed from No. 296 to No. 140, gaining 156 positions. In second place among the climbers is Austin Hitt from the U.S., who improved from No. 224 to No. 164, gaining 60 spots. Hitt won the Korn Ferry Tour Championship, the Korn Ferry Tour’s season-ending event, thereby securing his promotion to the PGA Tour. Along with him, 19 other players made the jump from the Korn Ferry Tour to the PGA Tour. Rounding out the top three in the rankings of players who moved up is Frenchman Victor Perez, who climbed from No. 171 to No. 129, gaining 42 spots.
Among the biggest dropouts, Frenchman Jeremy Gandon lost nine spots, falling from No. 186 to No. 195. South African Aldrich Potgieter slipped from No. 94 to No. 102, dropping eight spots. Tied for third place, each having dropped seven positions, are Canadian Taylor Pendrith (from 110 to 117), David Lipsky (from 136 to 143), Tom Hoge (from 148 to 155), Tony Finau (from 158 to 165), and Davis Bryant (from 174 to 181).
There is no tournament on the PGA Tour next week. The next event is the Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course in Southampton, Bermuda, from October 22–25, 2026.
On the DP World Tour, this week’s event is the DP World India Championship at the Delhi Golf Club in New Delhi (October 15–18, 2026). Tommy Fleetwood will be defending his title there. One week later, the Genesis Championship will take place at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club in Cheonan, South Korea (October 22–25, 2026).
The top of the World Golf Rankings remains stable, while there is movement in the middle of the pack. Grant Forrest is by far the biggest climber of the week, and the DP World India Championship marks the start of the next event on the DP World Tour. How the World Golf Rankings develop in the coming weeks will depend on who earns points in the tournaments.
