Wilson Staff has unveiled the new Dynapwr series and is offering three new, customizable Drivers for the 2025 season. With the Dynapwr LS (Low Spin), Carbon, and Max models, the sporting goods giant aims to cater to all skill levels and offers different options for each. Thanks to adjustable weights and a six-way adjustable hosel in all models, numerous configurations can be set to meet the needs of players. In addition, Wilson Staff states that it has worked particularly hard on the Drivers’ launch angle.
All three models offer ways to customize the ball flight characteristics to suit individual players. In the Low-Spin model, two adjustable weights are used to influence launch angle and spin rates, providing even greater control. The Wilson Dynapwr Max Driver, on the other hand, can be adjusted for a Draw or Fade bias using a side-to-side adjustable weight (19g). This is designed to counteract Slice and Hook tendencies. Like the LS, the Dynapwr Carbon has one weight in the front and one in the back. However, each of these is three grams lighter and thus has a slightly less significant impact on playability. This, in turn, benefits forgiveness, which is higher than that of the Tour Driver.
The Wilson Dynapwr Max is the Driver in the series that offers the most support. Unlike the other models in the club family, the head is made of titanium rather than carbon. This reduces weight in the crown, allowing that weight to be redistributed elsewhere to enhance forgiveness. In addition, the head has a more elongated shape and a larger contact area, which is designed to provide greater inertia and thus more stable drives with a high degree of forgiveness on off-center hits.
The low-spin version of the Wilson Dynapwr has a slightly smaller head than the other models. It is made of carbon, and Wilson claims to have improved its aerodynamics with a domed crown, reducing drag and thereby increasing clubhead speed. The Dynapwr LS is the model that, for players with the necessary skill, offers full control over spin and ball flight. As Wilson itself makes clear, it is designed for Tour-level players and elite amateurs.
The Wilson Dynapwr Carbon is likely to appeal to the broadest audience within the Dynapwr driver family. This model offers a balance between performance and forgiveness. It’s more forgiving than the LS and, at the same time, more sporty than the Max. This is made possible, in part, by a flatter sole and a clubhead that, at 460cc, is the same size as that of the Dynapwr Max.
