Anyone starting out in golf or looking for a reliable complete set is faced with a wide choice - and often just as much uncertainty. A high-quality complete set relieves beginners of this burden: instead of laboriously putting together individual clubs, you get everything from a single source - coordinated, ready to play straight away and at an attractive price-performance ratio. Wilson is one of the most experienced golf brands in the world and, with its complete set range, offers the right solution for almost every target group - from children and recreational golfers to ambitious men's golfers. In this article, we will introduce you to the most important Wilson sets and help you find the right one for you.
The Wilson Profile series is the center of the Wilson entry-level range and also its most versatile product family. From the compact Half Set to the full complete set, from the men's to the women's version - the Profile family offers the right configuration for every need. What all models have in common is the so-called Super Game Improvement (SGI) technology: A weighting of the center of gravity that is placed far back and low ensures that the ball gets into the air more easily, higher trajectories are created and swing errors are better compensated. This is a decisive advantage, especially for golfers who are still refining their technique.
The Wilson Profile XD is the entry point of the Profile family and is aimed at golf beginners and recreational players who want to take to the course fully equipped and without complications. The men's set includes Driver (10.5°), Fairwaywood 3, Hybrid 5, Irons 6 to 9, Pitching Wedge, Sand Wedge and a Blade Putter with alignment aid - plus a hard-wearing Standbag with 7 compartments, four zippered pockets and automatic stand system. Headcovers for Driver, Wood and Hybrid are also included.
The ladies' set is specially tailored to the needs of female golfers: With an easier-to-play HL Driver, Fairwaywood 5, Hybrid 6 and a shortened Iron set (7-9), the focus is on high ball flights and easy handling. Instead of a Standbag, the ladies' set comes with a practical Cartbag with trolley attachment - ideal for golfers who travel with a trolley. If you wish, you can have your Profile XD fitted with an individual handle of your choice for an additional charge.
With a reduced price of €429.99, the Profile XD offers exceptional value for money.
If you want to invest a little more and value even more extensive equipment and a more detailed technical design, the Wilson Profile complete set is a good choice. Both the men's and women's sets are based on SGI technology and offer a complete set of clubs including Driver, Fairwaywood 5, Hybrid 5, Irons 6-9, Pitching Wedge, Sand Wedge and Putter.
The differences between the variants lie in the details: The men's set (€499.99) comes with a classic Blade putter and a high-quality Standbag made from 210D polyester, which is particularly lightweight at just 1.9 kg. It offers seven pockets, including a cooler compartment for drinks, a velour-lined valuables compartment and a full-length clothing pocket - as well as an ergonomic 4-point double carrying strap.
The ladies' set, on the other hand, features a Mallet putter for even more stability and alignment when putting, as well as a spacious Cartbag with 14 compartments for clubs, an integrated Putter compartment and nine pockets. The clubs are designed with a higher Driver loft (14° instead of 10.5°) and shorter shaft lengths to suit the biomechanics of female golfers.

Not every golfer needs a complete set right from the start. The Wilson Profile Half Set offers a well thought-out selection of six clubs - Fairwaywood 5, Hybrid 5, Iron 7, Iron 9, Sand Wedge and Putt - and deliberately dispenses with the Driver. This makes it the ideal choice for anyone who wants to get started easily or for golfers who already have their own Driver. The lightweight carry Standbag with automatic stand system rounds off the set. The men's set is available with either a steel or graphite shaft, while the women's set comes with lightweight graphite shafts throughout.
In addition to the Profile family, Wilson offers three other sets for men's golfers that focus on different aspects and appeal to different types of players.
The Wilson Staff Reflex LS is aimed at beginners and advanced golfers who attach particular importance to modern technologies. At the heart of the set is a Driver with a 460cc titanium composite head - the largest possible head permitted by the Rules of Golf - which offers maximum forgiveness and ball speed. It is complemented by Fairwaywood 3, Hybrid 5 and an Iron set from 6 to Sand Wedge. The enclosed Putt features Easy Align technology, which makes it easier to align precisely to the target line.
Technologically, the Reflex LS relies on a package of Power Weighting, Perimeter Weighting and Low CG - i.e. low center of gravity - for optimum ball flight and more control. The lightweight Standbag with integrated rain cover completes the set.
The Wilson Stretch XL is clearly focused on one goal: maximum forgiveness and distance for beginners and recreational players. The titanium-reinforced Driver with a large club head and wide sweet spot ensures respectable distances even with less than ideal shots. The Fairwaywood and Hybrid cover the long shots, while the perimeter-weighted irons with cavity-back design mitigate swing faults and improve accuracy. The lightweight shafts and grips provide comfortable handling, while the included carry bag makes it easy to transport on the course.
Like the Profile Half Set, the Wilson Ultra HL is a six-hit set without a driver - making it particularly interesting for golfers who already own a driver or want to gradually build up their set. The focus is on lightweight graphite shafts and a low center of gravity in Woods and Irons, which promotes high, stable trajectories. Included are Fairwaywood 3, Hybrid 5, Irons 7, 9 and Sand Wedge as well as a Putter with heel-toe weighting for more feel on the green. A lightweight, sturdy Standbag rounds off the set.
Golf is not just a sport for adults. With two junior lines, Wilson offers specially developed sets that optimally support children and young people in their development. Common to both lines are age-appropriate shortened shaft lengths, lightweight materials, flexible shafts and oversized club heads with high forgiveness - all designed to make it as easy as possible for young players to get started.
The Wilson Junior Profile is available in three age sizes and grows with the child:
Deeply balanced club heads support an easy launch and help young golfers to get the ball into the air more easily. The robust, ergonomically designed bag is specially tailored to young players and, according to the manufacturer, exceeds standard industry durability tests.
The Wilson ProStaff JGI 2 is the more affordable of the two junior sets and scores with particularly detailed technical data for every age group. It is available in four color variants, each of which is assigned to an age group:
The precise adjustment of loft, lie, head weight and club length to the respective age group ensures that young golfers always play with the optimal equipment for them - an important factor for healthy technique development and long-term enjoyment of the game.
