Basketball star Steph Curry does it and "His Airness", Michael Jordan, also loves it. And now a third of the best basketball players of all time has also made an appearance on the golf course: LeBron James. The giant of the Los Angeles Lakers announced on Instagram that the attempts in the video are only the second time he has "officially tried golf". But the swing with the Driver looks quite passable and the 40-year-old and his teammates are particularly pleased with the result, as can be heard. It is not known whether the cigar in his mouth is a tribute to Jordan, who loves to smoke his way around the golf course.
In the last of the three Instagram videos, the group can be heard cheering another of James' drives: "That's straight. That's the second one in a row!" the group rejoices. Golf turns even the most successful athletes in the world back into beginners. And who doesn't remember their first attempts at golf and the wonderful feeling of hitting two tee shots in a row?
Another video published on X (formerly Twitter) shows another tee shot from the "King". Here, too, he is visibly satisfied with the result, but does not express it quite as selectively as golf etiquette dictates. However, the beeps only partially drown out what the four-time NBA MVP is saying. In terms of trash talk, he is perhaps already as good as Jordan. But when it comes to handicapping, there is probably still a gulf between the two. Jordan and Curry both play for scratch.
Bron talking trash while golfing 🤣
