The new TP Black series from TaylorMade combines perfect craftsmanship with modern roll technology. Four models, one common claim: to take Putter to a new level.
On the green, centimeters make the difference between Birdie and Bogey. So it's no wonder that ambitious golfers take a particularly close look when choosing their Putt. With the TP Black series, TaylorMade offers a collection on the market that combines classic Blade and Mallet shapes with proven Tour technology - and at a price that is also attractive for players without a Tour budget.
The TP Black putters are in the tradition of the manufacturer's TP collection: carefully milled, technically sophisticated and visually reduced to the essentials. There are four models to choose from - and each of them is aimed at a specific swing type. Which one is right for you depends on what your putting stroke looks like.
Before we introduce the individual models, it's worth taking a look at what sets the entire TP Black family apart - because the technical basis is identical for all four putters.
303 stainless steel & machine milling All TP Black putters are made from 303 stainless steel - a material that is considered the gold standard in precision milling. It's soft enough to deliver exceptional feel and direct feedback, yet tough enough for everyday use on the course. The machine-milled contours give each model flowing lines and a quality of craftsmanship that is impressive both at address and in the hand.

Pure Roll Insert The heart of the TP Black Putter is the Pure Roll Insert made of soft Surlyn. Originally used in the Spider X, one of TaylorMade's most successful Mallet putters, this technology has now found its way into the TP collection. The insert has 11 grooves that are aligned at a 45° downward angle. The result: the ball starts with less backspin, overcomes the glide phase more quickly and transitions into a clean forward roll earlier. This is particularly important on fast greens where consistent ball speed is crucial.
Black anodized finish The matte black finish of the TP Black Putter is not just a visual choice. The glare-free surface ensures that golfers can focus completely on the putting line - without any distracting reflections. At the same time, the high contrast between the club head and the alignment line creates a natural aid when aiming.
Standard components at a high level All models are equipped as standard with the KBS 120 Chrome Stepped Shaft (124g) and the Lamkin Sink Fit Skinny grip in black/silver (70g) - a combination designed for stable stroke feel transmission and precise control.
The Juno #1 is the flagship of the TP Black series - and is aimed at golfers with a pronounced arc in the putting stroke. With a 38° toe hang, it is one of the models with the strongest face rotation in the collection and is therefore ideal for players whose club stays on a significantly curved swing path.
The classic Blade head with L-Neck hosel delivers exactly what tradition-conscious putters are looking for: a familiar look at address, combined with modern technology under the hood. The full shaft offset supports a natural hand position. A special feature of the Juno #1: It is the only model of the four putters presented that is also available for left-handers - in a length of 34". Right-handers can choose between 34" and 35".
The Del Monte #1 is the somewhat calmer alternative to the Juno - for golfers who have a moderate arc in the putting stroke and prefer a slightly lower face rotation. With a 30° toe slope, it is clearly positioned between the Juno #1 and the face-balanced Mallet variants in the series.
Visually, it is similar to the Juno #1, but is equipped with a wider Blade head, which offers more stability and a slightly larger impact zone. The L-neck hosel and the full shaft offset ensure a familiar, classic racket position. Anyone who already plays with a traditional Blade putter and wants to take the next step towards precision will find the Del Monte #1 a convincing companion on the green.
The Palisades is the Mallet representative of the TP Black series - and it comes in two variants that differ primarily in the hosel technology and the resulting toe hang. Both share the distinctive wing design with clear, straight lines, which ensures optimum weight distribution and an intuitive alignment aid.
Palisades #3 (Small Slant) With a 28° toe hang, the Palisades #3 is the variant for players who want to switch from a Blade putter to a Mallet without sacrificing the familiar feel of the Stroke. The small-slant hosel and the ¾ shaft offset provide a natural bridge between the two worlds. An ideal entry into the Mallet category.

Palisades #7(Single Bend) The Palisades #7 is aimed at golfers with a putting stroke that is as straight as possible. Thanks to the single bend hosel and full shaft offset, it is completely face-balanced - this means that the club head has no natural tendency to rotate. Players who rely on minimal face rotation will find their ideal solution in this version.
Both Palisades models are available in 33", 34" and 35" lengths - offering the widest choice within the collection and accommodating smaller golfers.
The choice of the right putter depends primarily on the individual putting stroke. As a rule of thumb, the stronger the arc in the swing, the higher the toe slope of the putter should be. The following overview will help with initial orientation:
| Model | Toe Hang | Suitable for | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Juno #1 | 38° | Pronounced arch, strong face rotation | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Del Monte #1 | 30° | Moderate arc, medium

| Palisades #3 | 28° | Slight arc, transition Blade → Mallet | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Palisades #7 | Face Balanced | Straight stroke, minimal face rotation |
Important: This table provides an initial guide, but is no substitute for a professional fitting session. If you want to be sure to choose the optimal model for your stroke, you should take advantage of a Putter fitting - because even small differences in toe hang and offset can have a noticeable effect on directional accuracy and consistency.

The TaylorMade TP Black putters convince with a clear philosophy: first-class materials, proven technology and a well thought-out model range that has a suitable answer for almost every putting stroke. The combination of 303 stainless steel, machine milling and the Pure Roll Insert sets high standards - both in terms of feel and performance.
With prices between €169.99 and €189.99, the series is positioned in the mid-price segment, but offers a quality that can also compete with significantly more expensive Tour putters. For golfers who want to add more reliability and feel to their putting, the TP Black putters are a serious recommendation - regardless of whether they prefer to play with a classic Blade or a modern Mallet.
