Scotty Cameron is once again setting standards in the premium segment. The new generation of Scotty Cameron Phantom putters brings technological innovations and tour-proven designs to the market, improving the game on the green for golfers worldwide.
From now on, a new facet will enrich the bag of ambitious active golfers: the 2026 Phantom series from Scotty Cameron. The combination of new materials and refined design promises a softer feel and maximum control at the same time.
Before we dive into the details of the new series, it's worth taking a look at the design. Mallet putters are characterized by their larger head shape compared to classic Blade models. The main feature is the high moment of inertia (MOI). Due to the weight distribution far outwards and backwards, the club head remains more stable at impact.
For players, this means that the clubface stays on track more consistently even if the ball is not hit centrally. In addition, the larger surfaces of the Mallets offer more space for precise alignment lines, which makes it much easier to address the ball correctly.
Find out here what the currently popular zero-torque technique is.
The most significant innovation in the 2026 models is the Studio Carbon Steel (SCS) face insert. While many Mallets rely on aluminum, Scotty Cameron uses a steel with a high carbon content.
The result of this choice of material is greater inherent damping. In combination with the new chain-link milling - a special surface structure - there are fewer contact points between the ball and the metal. This ensures an extremely soft sound and feedback that enables golfers to control their distance precisely.
Feedback from professionals such as Justin Thomas was heavily incorporated into the development. The club faces are now slightly higher in the middle, which makes the topline appear more arched. This subtle change corrects the visual perception at address and supports a better swing path. In addition, the revised, flatter sole design ensures that the Putt sits absolutely stable and "square" on the ground in every hand position.
Not every swing is the same. That's why the new Scotty Cameron Phantom Putter line offers nine different combinations of head, neck and shaft:
Different shaft options such as the Jet Neck for more rotation or the Double Bend for a face-balanced feel ensure that all players can find the right setup for their individual biomechanics. Austie Rollinson, Senior Director of Putter R&D, emphasizes the versatility of the new line: "More and more players want to take advantage of Mallet designs. Since there is not just one 'right' way to putt, the new Phantom line offers the best performance for every style."
The new models come standard with the gray "Full Contact" grip, which provides an optimal feel in the hands.
