Scotty Cameron is causing a stir again: The putter manufacturer announces a new, strictly limited special edition of its putters. The Studio Xperimental Limited Series offers passionate golfers the rare opportunity to add two brand new Tour prototype-inspired mid-mallet designs to their bag.
The collection includes the Squareback 2 and Fastback 2 models, which fuse modern design with a dark aesthetic and the most advanced technology. The putters will be available worldwide and at All4Golf from Friday, October 31, 2025 - fans need to be quick, as the edition is strictly limited. The retail price in Germany is €999.
The Studio Xperimental Limited putters were developed for players who demand the highest standards of precision and aesthetics. Founder and Master Craftsman Scotty Cameron personally emphasizes the exclusivity of the series: "Studio Xperimental is here to offer players something special: prototype-inspired setups designed for those who demand performance and technology in a clean, Tour-proven look. With the multi-material design, chain-link milling, unique alignment features and custom grip and shaft, every element is designed to inspire confidence - from address to impact," Cameron explains the holistic concept.
Technologically, the new models rely on a combination of material innovation and precise manufacturing, which has a direct effect on the ball roll:
Both models stand out thanks to the new, durable and glare-free Steel Gray PVD finish, which gives them a dark, almost "stealthy" (inconspicuous) aesthetic. For maximum stability, Cameron uses a multi-material construction: a precision-milled 303 stainless steel body is combined with an aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum sole plate. This optimized interaction maximizes the moment of inertia (MOI) and ensures forgiveness.
The centerpiece is the black nickel-plated Studio Carbon Steel (SCS) insert. Chain-Link Face Milling Technology is used here: the unique texture reduces the contact points at impact. The result: a softer sound and improved roll characteristics without distorting the feel.
Austie Rollinson, Senior Director of Putter R&D, emphasizes this effect: "The combination of our SCS inserts with the Chain-Link milling really provides exceptional feel, roll and feedback from the putter face."
A key innovation is the specially developed Custom Graphite Shaft. This high-quality shaft offers increased stiffness and is slightly counterbalanced. Rollinson comments: "We have optimized the balance with custom graphite shafts that are stiffer and slightly counterbalanced to give players additional stability during the stroke."
Both putters also feature the precision-milled I-Beam Plumbing Neck - a Tour-proven solution for shaft offset and a clean look at address, and the two putter models cater to slightly different alignment and shape preferences. Parallel, precision-milled sight lines on the topline (in Jet Black) are used for alignment, helping to mark the sweet spot and align the ball perfectly.
The Scotty Cameron Studio Xperimental Limited putters offer a rare fusion of Tour-inspired aesthetics and cutting-edge technology. Given the strict limitation, interested parties should act quickly if they want to secure one of these prototype designs.
