The countdown has begun: the first tickets for the 2027 Ryder Cup in Adare Manor, Ireland, went on sale yesterday - at record prices for a European event. Find out who has the chance to be there, when which tickets are available and what you have to pay for them here.
It is one of the most coveted tickets in international golf - and in 2027, the Ryder Cup will make history in more ways than one. Europe and the USA will meet for the 100th time in golf's oldest team competition, and the prestigious event will return to Ireland for the first time since 2006. Back then, Europe triumphed at The K Club in County Kildare. Now Adare Manor in County Limerick will be the venue when the world's best golfers compete for their continents from September 13-19, 2027.
Europe goes into the competition as defending champions: after victories in Rome 2023 and Bethpage Black 2025, captain Luke Donald is aiming for a historic third consecutive title - a feat that no captain on either side of the Atlantic has yet achieved.

The first tickets will officially go on sale on Friday, April 24, 2026 - but initially only for residents of the island of Ireland. Ryder Cup Europe has set up an exclusive priority window that gives Irish fans a head start of more than a month over the rest of the world.
The worldwide ballot for international fans will open on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, and in both cases a registered Ryder Cup ticket account is required to purchase tickets. Registration is possible via the official Ryder Cup website and should be done as early as possible, as all further information will be communicated directly via the account.
Important: Only tickets purchased through official Ryder Cup channels will be accepted at the event.
The ticket prices for the 2027 Ryder Cup are the highest ever for a European staging of the competition:
| Day | Date | Adult price | Price under 16 years |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tuesday - Practice Day | 14. September 2027 | from €89 | from €20 |
| Wednesday - Practice Day | 15. September 2027 | from €89 | from €20 |
| Thursday - Practice Day incl. Opening Ceremony | 16. September 2027 | from €179 | from €30 |
| Friday - Matchday 1 | 17. September 2027 | €499 | - |
| Saturday - Matchday 2 | 18. September 2027 | €499 | - |
| Sunday - Matchday 3 | 19. September 2027 | €499 | - |
Matchday tickets are priced at €499 per day per person - almost double the price of the last European event in Rome 2023 (€260 per day). Nevertheless, the prices are below those of the US event in Bethpage Black 2025, where tickets cost $750 per day.
Richard Atkinson, Chief Ryder Cup Officer of the European Tour Group, justified the price increase to the BBC: "We recognize that it's an increase on Rome. That was four years ago and a lot has happened in the world since then. We are below Bethpage's prices. We've tried to make this accessible to as wide a demographic as possible."
Atkinson added: "Our prices are in relation to a global sporting event. This event has grown in importance and profile - it's one of the biggest sporting events in the world. We are confident in our pricing but have ensured that access is available to all."
For residents of the island of Ireland: The exclusive priority window has been open since April 24, 2026. Irish fans can purchase a limited number of day tickets for Matchdays and Practice Days directly from their registered ticket account. The organizers state that around a third of all available tickets will go to buyers from Ireland.
For international fans: The worldwide ballot opens on June 3, 2026. Interested parties should create a ticket account now in order to receive all information about the application in good time. The prices are identical to those in the Irish window.
Special option: SuperValu Community Day: There is a special option for families from Ireland: As part of the so-called "SuperValu Community Day" on Tuesday, September 16, 2027, Musgrave - Ireland's leading food retailer and official supporter of the 2027 Ryder Cup - is making thousands of tickets available as part of a customer promotion. Details of the application and process will be announced later this year.

The price discussion surrounding the Ryder Cup is nothing new. The ticket prices for Bethpage Black 2025 had already caused considerable criticism in the run-up to the event. At the time, prices on the secondary market initially climbed to up to $1,500 per ticket - only to collapse to under $300 in the first two days after a dominant performance by Europe, around 60 percent below the issue price. An urgent warning for all those who see tickets as a speculative object.
For golfers who want to experience the event out of sporting passion, the Ryder Cup is and remains one of the most emotional and atmospherically intense experiences in golf. The prices are high - but not without justification for a unique event like the 100th Ryder Cup in Ireland.
Ryder Cup Europe promises an improved fan experience for 2027. Atkinson announced in a press release from the European Tour: "We have extensive plans to enhance the on-site experience for visitors to the 2027 Ryder Cup, including a record 20,000 grandstand seats and an increased number of large screens. For the first time, there will also be an official Ryder Cup campsite with entertainment, details of which will be announced in due course."
The 2027 Ryder Cup at Adare Manor is a historic event - the 100th Ryder Cup, a return to Ireland, a possible third consecutive title win for Europe. If you want to be there live, you should act now: The first step is to register a ticket account on the official Ryder Cup website. Only those who are registered can take part in the ballot and have a realistic chance of winning tickets.
