Zach Johnson won the 2026 PURE Insurance Championship on the PGA Tour Champions at Pebble Beach. The American prevailed with a total score of 14 under Par and a final round of 65. For his second consecutive victory, Johnson received prize money of $360,000.
Zach Johnson Wins at Pebble Beach
Johnson was at 14 under Par after three rounds and won by a two-stroke margin. The tied runners-up—Rory Sabbatini, Steven Alker, and Henrik Stenson—each finished at 12 Par.
The tournament was decided in the final round. Johnson shot a 65 and took the sole lead with a Birdie on the 13th hole. On the par-5 18th hole, he reached the green with his second shot and secured the tournament victory with another Birdie.
The PURE Insurance Championship was held over 54 holes at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California. The players competed alongside juniors from the First Tee program representing various regions of the United States.
Prize Money at the 2026 PURE Insurance Championship
Johnson has already won his sixth title in his first season on the PGA Tour Champions. The 50-year-old American needed just 15 starts to do so. He had previously won the Sanford International the week before.

These players made the cut
After two rounds, the cut was set at the top 50 players and those tied for those positions. As a result, the leaderboard includes 51 players. Prize money ranges from $360,000 for Johnson to $7,200 for the players tied for 50th place.
Significance of the Victory
With his sixth win of the season, Johnson took sole possession of the lead in the PGA Tour Champions’ all-time wins list, replacing Stewart Cink at the top. On the regular PGA Tour, Johnson has won twelve tournaments, including the 2007 Masters and the 2015 Open Championship.
Steven Alker also confirmed his strong form. The New Zealander entered the tournament on the back of three consecutive wins, including a victory on the European Legends Tour.
