Haeran Ryu won the 2026 Amundi Evian Championship, claiming her second major title on the LPGA Tour in three weeks. The 25-year-old South Korean prevailed over Canadian Brooke Henderson in a playoff and secured $1,400,000 in prize money from a record total purse of $9,100,000—the highest in the tournament’s history. The tournament was held at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Evian-les-Bains, France.
Here you can find the final leaderboard for the 2026 Evian Championship.
Ryu had entered the final round with a three-stroke lead after shooting a 60 (-11) on Saturday—the lowest round in the history of a women’s major. In the final round, however, she struggled to find her rhythm on the greens and had to wait until the 18th hole for her first Birdie of the day—the very Birdie that saved her from a playoff.
Henderson delivered a spectacular final round with a 64, which included, among other things, a hole-in-one on the 8th hole and three eagles—including an eagle on the 18th hole at the very last moment of the regular round. Japan’s Aki Iwai narrowly missed the playoff when her Birdie putt on the 18th hole didn’t drop. In the playoff, also on the par-5 18th, Henderson found the Rough and could only manage Par, while Ryu hit the green and sank her Birdie to secure the victory.
Ryu thus earned a total of $3,350,000 in prize money over three weeks from two major victories—following her triumph at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship in Hazeltine.
The total prize money for the 2026 Amundi Evian Championship was $9,100,000—a record for this tournament. A total of 66 players made the cut, including four amateurs who did not receive prize money. With her victory at Evian, Ryu made history: For the first time in the history of women’s golf, two players have won two majors in the same calendar year—the other is Nelly Korda, who had previously won the Chevron Championship and the 2026 U.S. Women’s Open. This meant that in 2026, there were two players who each won two majors in a single season—a once-in-a-lifetime event in the history of women’s golf.
