Final Four live on TV again this year. The highlight of the DGL season live on Sky and at www.deutschegolfliga.de. Wiesbaden, June 12, 2025 - Last year, television viewers were able to watch live for the first time when the ladies of Hamburg's GC Falkenstein and the men of the St. Leon-Rot Golf Club received the championship trophies at the end of thrilling final matches. Once again this year, the Final Four, the highlight of the German Golf League (DGL) presented by All4Golf, will be broadcast live on television thanks to DGL partner Genesis Motor Deutschland. Sky will report for three hours from the Munich-Riedhof Golf Club on Sunday, August 3.
At the same time, a free-to-air live stream will be shown on the deutschegolfliga.de website when Germany's best golf teams play for the title of German Team Champion in an exciting match play. Which four women's and which four men's teams will be competing at Golfclub München-Riedhof will be decided on each of the five match days of the 1st Bundesliga.
Marcus Neumann, Sports Director of the German Golf Association: "No other golf event in Germany involves as much emotion as the Final Four. The special team spirit, the thrilling excitement and the unmistakable spirit are transmitted directly - both to the spectators on site and in front of the screens. We are therefore all the more delighted that a live broadcast will be taking place again this year. It offers the opportunity to get even more people excited about our sport and make the fascination of golf accessible to a wider audience. The DGL stands for passion, dynamism and cohesion in golf like no other format."
Christian Schunck, Deputy Managing Director of Deutsche Golf Sport GmbH: "The fact that we are now able to bring the special atmosphere of the Final Four, which thrills thousands of spectators on site every year, closer to people at home for the second time is the consistent further development of the DGL. The TV premiere last year was already met with outstanding viewer interest. We owe this opportunity to the great commitment of many partners - above all Genesis, who are playing a key role in shaping this path and we hope to inspire even more viewers together this year."
"The Final Four is the highlight of German team golf and the live broadcast on Sky gives the event the stage it deserves. We are proud to be on board as a partner: Dynamism, team spirit and sporting excellence perfectly reflect the values of Genesis. Our commitment goes beyond an event - we want to promote a sports culture that combines elegance and performance," explains Jens Eberth, Managing Director (interim) Genesis Motor Deutschland GmbH.
The 4th and 5th match days will take place on June 21/22 and July 19/20, 2025. The current table and lots more information about the 2025 DGL season and the previous match days can be found at www.deutschegolfliga.de.
