Titleist has expanded its range of golf clubs by introducing two new lines of Irons: the redesigned T-Series and the brand new T250-U and U-505 Utility Irons. The aim of these developments is to offer golfers of all abilities improved ball flight curves, higher ball speeds and maximum consistency, both off the tee and on shots into the green.
The new Titleist T-Series includes the next generation T100, T150 and T350 models, as well as the all-new T250 model and its T250 Launch Spec variant. The development of these Irons was based on extensive feedback from tour players, ambitious amateurs and fitters worldwide. The overarching design goals were to improve ball launch on long irons, more consistent spin rates on mid and short irons, and consistent distance across the entire set.
Titleist follows the "Three D's" philosophy for customization: Distance Control, Dispersion Control and Angle of Descent.
The T100 is designed as a forged multi-material clubhead and offers precision, feel and improved performance. A new feature is a "Muscle Channel" in the 3rd and 4th Irons, which is designed to improve ball launch and launch height. The revised "Variable Face Thickness" design and a lower center of gravity contribute to tighter dispersion. The edgier, steeper cut grooves of the medium to short irons are intended to stabilize spin rates even from the Rough or in wet conditions and thus enable more control. Based on feedback from PGA Tour and LPGA players, the lofts of the T100 have been adjusted one degree more (33 degrees on the 7-iron) than the previous generation to ensure excellent playability for golfers of all abilities. The T100 has been the most played iron model on the PGA TOUR since its introduction in 2019.
The T150 positions itself as a "faster Players Iron" and is designed to combine exceptional feel, stability and control with more ball speed and higher launch. The profile is slightly larger than the T100, which should provide a confidence-inspiring feel at address. It shares many improvements with the T100, such as the progressive grooves and VFT design, but features stronger lofts and an improved muscle channel from the 7 Iron upwards for more speed and higher trajectories.
The T250 has been extensively redesigned (formerly T200) and offers a combination of speed, steeper launch angle and forgiveness. It has a premium look with a new all-steel construction and a wider sole.
The new T250-U and U-505 Utility Irons complement the T-Series and set new standards in ball flight, speed and stability. They are designed as distance clubs that launch the ball high and offer high forgiveness and stability.
T250-U
This Utility Iron is based on the same design and technology as the new T250 Irons and features the same profile and loft progression. It is more compact than the U-505 and is available in Iron 2, 3 and 4.
U-505
The Titleist U-505 is offered in Iron 1, 2, 3 and 4 and features a larger club head designed to launch the ball slightly higher than the T250-U. The new generation is characterized by a progressive shape: Wider soles and lower club faces on the strong lofts, narrower soles and higher club faces on the higher lofts - for ideal trajectories and playability. In particular, the shape adjustments to the 3 and 4 irons of the U-505 were inspired by tour professionals. Both Utility models have "Players-preferred" profiles with minimal offset and can be seamlessly integrated into mixed sets.
