England's John Parry has scored the only hole-in-one at the 2025 Open Championship. Parry achieved the feat on Saturday in the third round of the major tournament in Royal Portrush, Ireland. The 38-year-old holed his tee shot from 175 meters on hole 13. Six years ago, when the Open Championship was last hosted at Royal Portrush, Emiliano Grillo managed an ace on the same hole.
Parry, who won the Mauritius Open on the DP World Tour last December, couldn't get the smile off his face after the trick shot. After the round he said: "It was a great day. Obviously that's an experience you get when you make a hole-in-one - the atmosphere was absolutely fantastic. I hit a really good shot for once, which was quite nice. It was quite a comfortable shot where I knew I had a big target window to land the ball in," Parry explained of his hole-in-one.
