Tee Times Players Championship 2026: The start times are here
The "fifth major" is coming up! Find out all the start times for the Players Championship 2026 at the TPC Sawgrass and which groups you can't miss here.
It's that time again: the "fifth major" at the TPC Sawgrass is just around the corner. The Tee Times announced today for the first two rounds of the Players Championship 2026 promise high tension from the very first minute. There are three groups in particular that should be marked in red in the calendar:
- The trio of giants: Xander Schauffele, Rory McIlroy and Hideki Matsuyama tee off together at 18:42 (CET) on Thursday. It's hard to pack more major experience and current form into one flight.
- The defending champion round: At 13:52, world number one Scottie Scheffler starts the first round together with Tommy Fleetwood and Justin Thomas from Tee 10.
- Crowd favorites: It will also get loud on the course on Thursday evening (6:30 pm) when Sahith Theegala, Rickie Fowler and Jordan Spieth take to the course - a pairing known for spectacular golf.

It is still not entirely clear whether Rory McIlroy will actually compete in the Players Championship 2026 after withdrawing from the Arnold Palmer Invitational due to injury. As he told the Golf Channel, he is currently planning to travel to Ponte Vedra in north-east Florida on Wednesday as his back is still strained. At least the Northern Irishman, who lives in South Florida, doesn't have too far to travel, which should increase his chances of starting.
