With Ryder Cup debutants J.J. Spaun and Russell Henley as well as returnee Bryson DeChambeau, the next three qualified players for the American team have been confirmed. Together with Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele and Harris English, who have already qualified, they make up the six automatic qualifiers for the 2025 Ryder Cup in New York.
For J.J. Spaun, qualifying is an absolute premiere. The 34-year-old secured his place as one of the most surprising newcomers in recent Ryder Cup history, thanks largely to his impressive performances in recent months. In addition to six top-10 finishes on the PGA Tour, he won the 2025 US Open - his first Major title. He also finished runner-up at both THE Players and the FedEx St. Jude Championship.
Russell Henley will also be making his Ryder Cup debut at Bethpage Black. The 36-year-old underlined his form with victory at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March, his fifth PGA Tour success. He also impressed in the major tournaments: a tied seventh place at the 2024 US Open and a fifth place at The Open Championship, followed by two more top-10 results at the 2025 Majors.

Bryson DeChambeau returns to the US team for his third Ryder Cup. He was previously part of the team in 2018 and 2021 and has a record of 2-3-1 (two wins, three losses, one shared match). DeChambeau, who qualified as a LIV Golf League player almost exclusively through his performances in the majors, has achieved outstanding results in the last two years. He won the US Open in 2024 and finished runner-up at the PGA Championship in both 2024 and 2025.
