Following Rory McIlroy's successful qualification, Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood have now also secured a permanent place in the European team for the 2025 Ryder Cup. The prestigious tournament will take place from September 26-28 at Bethpage Black in New York and the two Englishmen will play an important role.
This will be Justin Rose's seventh participation in the Ryder Cup. He impressively underlined his qualification by winning the FedEx St. Jude Championship, his twelfth title on the PGA Tour. In addition to this success, he has achieved further top results this season, including a second place at the 2025 Masters Tournament and a sixth place at the Genesis Scottish Open. Rose, who made his debut in 2008, has been part of four winning teams (2012, 2014, 2018 and 2023) and will be aiming for his second away win in New York after being part of the 'Miracle at Medinah' in 2012.
Team captain Luke Donald praises Rose's experience and consistency: "Justin's experience, leadership and proven Ryder Cup experience will be invaluable, and his recent win in America underlines the form and confidence he will bring to New York."

Tommy Fleetwood will celebrate his fourth consecutive Ryder Cup appearance in New York. Since the start of the qualifying period last August, he has achieved nine top ten finishes worldwide. Most recently, he finished tied second at the Travelers Championship in June and tied third at the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Fleetwood, who was on the team in 2018, 2021 and 2023, made a memorable debut in Paris in 2018, scoring four out of a possible five points. At the last Ryder Cup in Rome in 2023, he secured the decisive point for Europe with his victory.
Luke Donald particularly appreciates Fleetwood's commitment: "Tommy brings passion, consistency and an excellent match play record, and he has proven time and time again that he thrives in the team environment of the Ryder Cup."
The automatic qualifying phase for the European team runs until August 24. After Rose, McIlroy and Fleetwood, Robert MacIntyre, Tyrrell Hatton and Sepp Straka are also currently in the top ranks. The list of qualified European players for the 2025 Ryder Cup can be found here.
