In golf, Mizuno is synonymous with first-class forged irons. With the introduction of the new Mizuno M.CRAFT City Series putters, the traditional manufacturer is now consistently transferring this expertise to the short game. We have analyzed why this new series represents a turning point in Putt design.
While many manufacturers rely on complex multi-material constructions, Mizuno is focusing on the essentials with the Mizuno M.CRAFT City Series Putter collection: Material purity and haptic feedback. The series for 2026 marks a return to traditional manufacturing processes, but refined with state-of-the-art computer analysis.

The naming of the series is a tribute to the Japanese home of the brand. Each of the four models - Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo - represents a station on the legendary Shinkansen high-speed rail line. This connection symbolizes the core of the series: the harmony between historical craftsmanship and Japan's rapid technological progress.
The secret of the feedback lies in the choice of material. Every Mizuno M.CRAFT City Series Putter is precision forged from 1025E Mild Carbon Steel. Mizuno integrates two key technological elements to soften the impact:
Mizuno offers the right tool for every Putt style. Each model of the Mizuno M.CRAFT City Series putters is equipped with a standard loft of 3° and a lie angle of 70°.
The Kyoto is a classic blade for purists, named after the old imperial city. It offers maximum control and clear feedback. If you are looking for a little more stability, go for the Osaka: this "wide blade" embodies the economic dynamics of its namesake with a wider profile and a higher moment of inertia (MOI).
The Nagoya Mid-Mallet uses a special "roll-up" geometry to optimize weight distribution. The Tokyo is the flagship in terms of forgiveness. As a wing-mallet, it offers the highest stability within the Mizuno M.CRAFT City Series Putter range.
A key benefit for end users is the integrated fitting system. Each Putt is supplied with a weight kit. The two weights in the sole can be easily exchanged to adapt the head weight (standard approx. 365g for Blades and 380g for Mallets) to your own swing dynamics.
In addition, two neck variants (e.g. slant neck or plumber's neck) are available for each model to adapt the Putt to the individual swing path - from strongly curved to straight.
| Model | Type | Characteristic | Hosel options | Availability |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kyoto | Classic Blade | Traditional Anser shape, focus on feel and feedback. | Plumber's Neck / Slant Neck | Right-handed & left-handed |
| Osaka | Wide Blade | Wider profile, higher stability (MOI) than classic Blades. | Plumber's Neck / Slant Neck | Right-handed only |
| Nagoya | Mid-Mallet | "Roll-up" cavity for optimized sound and weight distribution. | Slant Neck / Double Bend | Right-handed & left-handed |
| Tokyo | Wing-Mallet | Modern high-MOI design with wings for maximum forgiveness. | Slant Neck / Double Bend | Right-handed only |
With an introductory price of € 299.00, Mizuno has positioned the series below many competitors in the premium segment without compromising on the quality of workmanship. The Mizuno M.CRAFT City Series putters are a clear statement for all golfers who love the feel of a forged club and don't want to compromise on the green.
