Mizuno is revolutionizing its Iron lineup for 2026. With the official launch of the Mizuno M13 and Mizuno M15 models, the traditional Japanese company is strategically splitting up its portfolio. The new "Modern Series" consistently focuses on technological progress and maximum ball speed. We have summarized all the details about the Mizuno M13 and Mizuno M15 for you.
When you think of Mizuno, you usually have the image of a purist Blade in mind. But with the Mizuno M13 and Mizuno M15, the manufacturer is responding to the increasing demand for "Players Irons" that offer technological support without sacrificing classic aesthetics. While the Signature series (S models) continues to celebrate the timeless art of forging, the new M series acts as a driver of innovation.
"It's difficult to create classics when you're using modern technology, as it naturally ages," emphasizes Chris Voshall, Director of Golf at Mizuno. He thus draws a clear dividing line: the Mizuno M13 and Mizuno M15 models are not nostalgic throwbacks, but represent what is technically feasible in the present.
The new Mizuno M13 is the successor to the popular Pro 243. It has been specially developed for golfers who appreciate a compact Tour profile but are looking for additional support with distance and launch angle in the long irons.
Compared to its predecessor, the face of the Mizuno M13 has been massively optimized with the new Contour Ellipse Face. It is up to 35% thinner in Irons 4 and 5, which significantly increases ball speed. An intelligent mix of materials ensures the perfect balance:
For players looking for a true "Players Distance" Iron, the Mizuno M15 is the first choice. As the direct successor to the Pro 245, the Mizuno M15 offers a hollow design that is visually almost indistinguishable from a classic Iron, but mobilizes enormous reserves of power.
The heart of the Mizuno M15 is the strategic weighting inside the club head. Over 50 grams of tungsten are used in Irons 4 to 7, positioning the center of gravity extremely low. This enables a high ball launch and enormous stability on off-center hits.
A special feature of the Mizuno M15 is the absence of dampening foam. Instead, Mizuno relies on a precisely tuned wall thickness and the brand's typical copper layer under the finish to maintain the famous soft feel for which the brand is appreciated worldwide.
The Modern series is complemented by the new Mizuno Pro Fli-Hi, which closes the gap between the longest Irons and Fairwaywoods. While the Mizuno M13 and the Mizuno M15 focus on precision and distance in the set, the Fli-Hi is designed as a specialized Driving Iron that provides massive launch even at low swing speeds.
The 2026 model of the Fli-Hi has undergone a complete technological overhaul. The use of high-strength, heat-treated 4335+ nickel chromoly enables an extremely thin clubface for maximum ball speeds. Inside the hollow club head, 26 grams of tungsten ensure that the center of gravity is as low as possible. Thanks to the new offset weld seam, the topline has also been made slimmer so that the Fli-Hi integrates perfectly into a set of Mizuno M13 or Mizuno M15 Irons.
A decisive advantage for custom fitting is the visual and technical coordination between the Mizuno M13 and the M15. As both models have identical offset values, they can be seamlessly mixed to create a combo set. This allows golfers to combine the forgiveness of the Mizuno M15 in the long irons with the unmatched control of the Mizuno M13 in the short irons without experiencing a visual break at address. The Mizuno Pro Fli-Hi provides the perfect transition at the top of the bag.
