The KLM Open 2026 field promises an exciting mix of experienced champions and hungry newcomers. As soon as the field of participants is finalized, the most important names will be announced here.
Special attention will be paid to the Dutch local heroes. Joost Luiten, two-time winner on home soil, is always one of the favorites. Mike Toorop's performance will be an emotional highlight. The charismatic Dutchman, who fought his way onto the DP World Tour via the Qualifying School, sees the home tournament as his personal highlight of the season: "I've always believed in my dream. Now it's come true," said Toorop about his debut on Tour. Scotland's Connor Syme, who triumphed in 2025, will be the defending champion.

The KLM Open was held for the first time in 1912 and can look back on 106 editions. This makes it one of the oldest tournaments on the Tour. The name of the tournament has also changed several times over the years. In the last fifty years, the event has mostly been played as the Dutch Open with changing title sponsors. When KLM, a Dutch airline, was the title sponsor, the name was shortened to KLM Open, as in 2026.
The KLM Open prize money amounts to a total of 2,750,000 euros. This puts the tournament in the "standard" category of the DP World Tour and pays the same prize money as, for example, the Austrian Alpine Open in Austria or the BMW International Open in Germany. A good 400,000 euros in prize money awaits the 2026 KLM Open winner.
