When the days get shorter and the temperatures drop, this poses a new challenge for golfers. Under Armour meets this challenge with a new golf collection that has been specially developed for the cold season. The focus is on technical tops and bottoms for men that focus on warmth, freedom of movement and weather protection without being bulky.
The collection builds on proven technologies that represent a new approach to cold weather gear. ColdGear Infrared technology, for example, uses a special inner coating to absorb and retain body heat. This enables efficient insulation without adding weight or bulk. It is complemented by UA Storm technology, which makes the material water-repellent while maintaining breathability. Another key element is the 4-way stretch material used in most garments to ensure full freedom of movement during the golf swing.
The core of the collection is the principle of layering, in which different layers are combined for optimum comfort and protection. Lightweight, moisture-wicking tops such as the Under Armour Tech 2.0 1/2 Zip or the Under Armour ColdGear Mock serve as the first layer. Both are characterized by quick-drying properties, whereby the ColdGear Mock provides additional warmth and uses mesh inserts for improved ventilation.
For the middle layer, products made of fleece and double-knit fabric are designed to retain heat. These include the Under Armour Fleece 1/4-Zip with its soft inside and the Under Armour Pullover Driver models. The latter use a super soft double knit material to provide lasting comfort and lightweight warmth.
The outer layer offers protection from wind and rain. The Under Armour Driver Pro jacket combines the aforementioned UA Storm and ColdGear Infrared technologies with 80 g synthetic insulation to keep golfers warm in particularly cold conditions. Its low-noise material should not interfere with the swing.
The Under Armour Driver Pro vests are designed for more flexibility in cooler temperatures. They offer thermal protection in the torso area, while the sleeveless design allows unrestricted freedom of movement.
The lower parts of the collection are also designed for the special requirements of playing golf in the cold. The Under Armour ColdGear Infrared Tapered Trousers are equipped with the heat-retaining ColdGear Infrared lining, while the Under Armour Drive Slim Tapered Trousers are particularly impressive thanks to their water-repellent and elastic properties.
