On Sunday, Charlie Woods, the 16-year-old son of golf legend Tiger Woods, scored a hole-in-one at the Junior Players Championship. He made the shot on the Stadium Course of the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, a course on which his father won two Players Championships in his career.
Woods made the ace in the third and final round of the tournament on the Par 3 hole 3, which has a length of 177 yards (approx. 162 meters). Footage of the shot shows how the ball rolled directly from the tee into the hole. The immediate reaction of the spectators on the green confirmed Woods' successful shot. This hole-in-one is remarkable in that Woods achieved it in a place where his famous father never accomplished such a feat, despite his successes.

Although the hole-in-one was a highlight of his participation, the tournament was mixed overall for Woods. After a difficult first round, he finished the final round with an even-par (72 strokes). The overall result of 7 over Par put him in a tie for 31st place.
The tournament victory went to Miles Russell, who won with 9 under Par and was the first player to win the tournament twice in its history.
The hole-in-one is not the first in Charlie Woods' young career. Back in December 2024, he achieved such a feat during the PNC Championship, a tournament he played alongside his father.
The 2025 season marks another step in his development as a golfer. In May of this year, he won his first AJGA title at the Team TaylorMade Invitational. These successes underline the fact that Charlie Woods is constantly developing and proving his talent in the highly competitive world of junior golf.
