The traditional manufacturer Wilson is ringing in the year 2026 with a consistent further development of its premium line. With the official release on February 10, the brand is presenting three new Iron sets that are designed to master the balancing act between classic forging and modern Performance technology. While the Blade and the CB model focus on evolution, the XB model marks an exciting foray into high-tech hollow-body irons.
The new Wilson Staff Model Blade remains true to the brand's DNA. It is aimed at purists who are looking for maximum feedback and the ability to shape the ball flight in any direction.

The Wilson Staff Model CB (Cavity Back) bridges the gap between the classic Blade and modern distance irons. It offers the aesthetics of a Players iron with an extra dose of support on off-center hits.
The biggest innovation in the line-up is the Staff Model XB. It breaks with the purely solid construction and relies on a modern hollow-body design.

To make the decision easier, we have compared the most important features of the three new models:
| Feature | Staff Model Blade | Staff Model CB | Staff Model XB |
|---|---|---|---|
| Construction | Muscle Back (forged) | Cavity Back (forged) | Hollow Body |
| Material | 8620 carbon steel | 8620 Carbon Steel | 8620 steel / urethane injection |
| Main advantage | Ultimate control & feel | Precision with forgiveness | Maximum distance & speed |
| Target group | Professionals / elite amateurs | Single-handicapper | Ambitious amateurs |
| Finish | Brushed satin | Brushed satin | Brushed satin |
| Striking surface | Precision Milled (milled) | Precision Milled (milled) | Face Optimization (Simulated) |
With the 2026 line-up, Wilson shows a deep understanding of the needs of modern golfers. Especially the possibility to play these three sets as a combo set (e.g. XB in the long irons, Blade/CB in the short irons) should be interesting for many readers. The combination of the soft 8620 steel across all models guarantees a consistent feel throughout the golf bag.
