Since its introduction as an insider’s secret among tour pros, the Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash has enjoyed a meteoric rise. What began as a specialized “Custom Performance Option” (CPO) is now an indispensable pillar of the market leader’s lineup. For 2026, Titleist is now introducing the next generation of the ball, which promises one thing above all else: to push the model’s signature strengths even further.
The new model is the result of a research and development process spanning more than four years. Titleist’s philosophy is clearly defined: “We don’t bring a product to market just because it’s new,” emphasizes Mike Madson, Senior Vice President of Golf Ball R&D at Titleist. “It has to be better than its predecessor—and it has to be validated by players.”
With the Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash, “better” means, above all, faster and more consistent. The ball is aimed at a specific group of golfers who need a high launch angle but also struggle with too much spin in their long game.

To measurably enhance performance, Titleist has redesigned every single layer of the ball. The construction of the 2026 generation is based on four key technological pillars:

Interestingly, the path to the finished product was not without obstacles. In April 2023, a prototype was already nearing market readiness, but it failed tests on the PGA Tour. Players complained that the spin was too high with short Irons.
“This was moving us toward our standard Pro V1x and away from the Left Dash’s true DNA,” explains Fordie Pitts, Director of Tour Research and Validation. Titleist decided to take a radical step: The team went back to the drawing board to ensure that the Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash retained its uniqueness as a low-spin option with a firm feel at impact.
Although the ball has been validated on the Tour with victories at the 2024 U.S. Open (Pinehurst No. 2), it is not strictly a professional product. According to Titleist data, the ball is the ideal recommendation in about 6 to 8% of all fittings.
Compared to the classic Pro V1 and Pro V1x, the Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash offers a clear distinction:
| Feature | Pro V1 | Pro V1x | Pro V1x Left Dash |
|---|---|---|---|
| Trajectory | Medium-high | High | High |
| Spin (Long Game) | Low | Higher | Extremely Low |
| Spin (Iron) | Low | Medium | Very Low |
| Spin (Green) | Very high | Very high | High |
| Feel | Very soft | Soft | Firm |
| Construction | 3-piece | 4-piece | 4-piece |
The new Titleist Pro V1x Left Dash —recognizable by the distinctive “–Pro V1x” side marking—will be available worldwide at golf retailers starting Wednesday, January 21, 2026. The suggested retail price is €64.99 per dozen.
So if you’re looking for maximum distance without sacrificing a high launch, you should definitely consider this specialist during your next fitting.
