Following the introduction of the Driver, TaylorMade completes its lineup for 2026 with a versatile series of Fairwaywoods and Hybrids. The Qi4D models were developed with one goal in mind: to give players the tools to precisely close the often difficult gap between the Driver and the Irons. We take a closer look at the technologies and models.
The success of a Fairwaywood is often determined by the positioning of the center of gravity. TaylorMade relies on an advanced multi-material construction for the TaylorMade Qi4D Fairwaywood. By using lightweight carbon crowns, weight is saved in the upper area of the head and strategically placed lower.
Two core elements are used to maximize forgiveness:
In addition, almost all new models have a 4-degree loft sleeve, which golfers can use to individually adjust the loft, lie angle and clubface position.
The selection of the right model depends heavily on the individual swing characteristics and the desired ball flight:
This model uses a titanium body in combination with a 65g tungsten weight directly behind the clubface. It has three movable TAS weights that allow players to actively influence the flight curve between Draw, Fade or neutral tendency.
The classic TaylorMade Qi4D Fairwaywood offers a 185cc head and a slightly open face position at address. An 8g TAS weight provides an optimal balance of distance and stability.
With a volume of 200cc and a flatter profile, the Max model offers the largest hitting area and maximum stability. The Lite version also uses ultra-light shafts and grips.
To complement the TaylorMade Qi4D Fairwaywood, the engineers present the new Hybrids (Rescues). The progressive topline is a special visual feature: While the standard model has a narrow top edge reminiscent of the clubs used by professionals, the Max models have a wider topline that inspires more confidence at address.
Technically, the Hybrids are optimized to produce a steep landing angle (angle of descent). This is crucial so that the ball can stop on the green from long distances instead of rolling over it. Like the Woods, they also utilize a 3 degree loft sleeve for perfect fine-tuning of carry distances.
With prices starting at €399 for the TaylorMade Qi4D Fairwaywood and €349 for the Hybrids, the new series offers solutions for every level of play. TaylorMade manages to make Tour technology accessible to all golfers in 2026 through clever model gradations. All models can be pre-ordered now atAll4Golf. The new TaylorMade models will be available in stores from January 29th.
