Mizuno is revolutionizing its iron lineup for 2026. With the official launch of the Mizuno M13 and Mizuno M15 models, the long-established Japanese manufacturer is strategically segmenting its portfolio. The new “Modern Series” is firmly focused on technological advancement and maximum ball speed. We’ve summarized all the details about the Mizuno M13 and Mizuno M15 for you.
When people think of Mizuno, they usually picture a purist Blade. But with the Mizuno M13 and Mizuno M15, the manufacturer is responding to the growing demand for “player’s irons” that offer technological support without sacrificing classic aesthetics. While the Signature Series (S models) continues to celebrate the timeless art of forging, the new M Series serves as a driver of innovation.
“It’s difficult to create classics when you incorporate modern technology, since it naturally becomes outdated,” emphasizes Chris Voshall, Director of Golf at Mizuno. He thus draws a clear line: The Mizuno M13 and Mizuno M15 models are not nostalgic throwbacks, but represent what is technically possible today.
The new Mizuno M13 succeeds the popular Pro 243. It was developed specifically for golfers who appreciate a compact Tour profile but are looking for additional support in terms of distance and launch angle with their long Irons.
Compared to its predecessor, the Mizuno M13’s clubface has been significantly optimized thanks to the new Contour Ellipse Face. In the 4- and 5-irons, it is up to 35% thinner, which significantly increases ball speed. A smart blend of materials ensures the perfect balance:
For players looking for a true “Players Distance” iron, the Mizuno M15 is the top choice. As the direct successor to the Pro 245, the Mizuno M15 features a hollow design that’s visually almost indistinguishable from a classic iron but unleashes tremendous power.
At the heart of the Mizuno M15 is the strategic weighting inside the clubhead. Irons 4 through 7 contain over 50 grams of tungsten, which positions the center of gravity extremely low. This enables a high ball flight and tremendous stability on off-center hits.
A distinctive feature of the Mizuno M15 is the absence of damping foam. Instead, Mizuno relies on precisely tuned wall thickness and the brand’s signature copper layer beneath the finish to maintain the famous soft feel for which the brand is valued worldwide.
The Modern Series is complemented by the new Mizuno Pro Fli-Hi, which bridges the gap between the longest Irons and the Fairwaywoods. While the Mizuno M13 and Mizuno M15 focus on precision and distance within the set, the Fli-Hi is designed as a specialized Driving Iron that delivers a massive launch even at low swing speeds.
The 2026 model of the Fli-Hi has undergone a complete technological overhaul. The use of high-strength, heat-treated 4335+ nickel-chromoly allows for an extremely thin face, resulting in maximum ball speeds. Inside the hollow clubhead, 26 grams of tungsten ensure that the center of gravity is positioned as low as possible. Thanks to the new offset weld seam, the topline has also been made slimmer, allowing the Fli-Hi to blend seamlessly into a set of Mizuno M13 or Mizuno M15 Irons.
A key advantage for custom fitting is the visual and technical harmony between the Mizuno M13 and the M15. Since both models have identical offset values, they can be seamlessly combined into a combo set. This allows golfers to combine the forgiveness of the Mizuno M15 in the long Irons with the unmatched control of the Mizuno M13 in the short Irons, without experiencing a visual disconnect when addressing the ball. The Mizuno Pro Fli-Hi provides the perfect transition at the top of the bag.
