The regular season of the LIV Golf Tour has come to an end with a thrilling finale. While a well-known name prevailed at the top, a dramatic battle to stay in the league took place at the bottom end of the table, which also involved prominent players.
Jon Rahm has achieved a remarkable success this season: He secured the LIV Golf Tour individual title for the second year in a row, despite not winning a single tournament during the regular season. His success was based on exceptional consistency. In his 13 starts, the Spaniard only finished outside the top 10 once and achieved four second places. In the last tournament in Indianapolis, he even had the chance to win his first tournament of the season, but lost on the first hole of the play-off to the eventual winner Sebastian Muñoz. Despite the close finish, Rahm's second place secured him the necessary points and a narrow lead of 2.48 points over Joaquin Niemann, who has won five tournaments this season but has not matched Rahm's consistent performance. It was a triumph of perseverance.

Parallel to the title fight, dramatic scenes unfolded at the bottom of the points table. Several players had to fight to stay in the league to avoid falling into the drop zone. This also affected some well-known names. Former Open champion Henrik Stenson narrowly missed out on staying in the league. The Swede was relegated just 0.38 points behind his Majesticks team-mate Ian Poulter. Mito Pereira is also affected by the relegation. Despite his Torque GC team's team title in the last regular season tournament, it was not enough for him to stay in the class in the individual rankings. In addition to these familiar names, Andy Ogletree, Yubin Jang, Frederik Kjettrup and Anthony Kim also have to leave the Tour.
For German captain Martin Kaymer, the season ended with his place in the league secured. With 40th place in the individual rankings, he is in the "Open Zone" and has thus secured his place for the coming season. His team-mate Frederik Kjettrup was less fortunate. The young Dane only joined the Cleeks team this season, but was unable to score any points in the individual standings. After just one year in the league, he has to leave the Tour again.
