The Zala Springs Golf Resort northwest of Lake Balaton (also known as Lake Balaton) has not only specialized in golf since its foundation in 2015, but now also in wellness and health. Several apartment buildings were built for the accommodation, which are either used by the owners themselves or rented out. Naturally, the stay also includes room service. Visitors can choose between one-room apartments and multi-room units with an integrated kitchen and living area. The modern clubhouse serves as the resort's central restaurant.
In recent years, the range of services has been expanded to include the EVERGREEN health center and a modern spa with an outdoor thermal pool, various saunas and a steam bath. EVERGREEN offers numerous treatments such as a wide range of massages, as well as various Western and Eastern medicine therapies such as acupuncture and kyrosauna. The range of services also includes nutritional advice and medical diagnoses in the fields of cardiology, dermatology, internal medicine and aesthetics. The resort is therefore not only suitable for year-round stays, but also offers the best conditions for joint vacations for golfers and non-golfers.
For golfers, the 18-hole championship course designed by renowned designer Robert Trent Jones Jr. naturally takes center stage. The Par 72 course offers four tees, making it suitable for golfers of all levels with a total length of between 5,187 and 6,395 meters. As the terrain is largely flat, the course can easily be completed on foot. Alternatively, modern carts with GPS systems are available. Particularly from spring onwards, you should pay attention to the sometimes very dense and high Rough - and water always comes into play, after all "Springs" means spring. Typical for Jones Jr. are not only the often elevated greens, but also the bunkers with high edges. Bunkers are a defining element both visually and in terms of play, which is not only noticeable on the up to 567-metre-long dogleg on hole 3 with the pond embedded in the bend, but especially on hole 4, a rather short par 4 whose bunker landscape in front of the green is somewhat reminiscent of lunar craters. The par design on the front nine is unusual: three par 3s, three par 4s and three par 5s await the golfers here. Water often comes into play on the Par 3s. On hole 5, for example, you can only reach the green directly via a pond at a maximum of 140 meters, and the par 3 on hole 12, which winds around a pond at 180 degrees and is up to 164 meters long, is also impressive. The most difficult hole is the long par 4 on 7, where the Fairway is divided into an upper and lower half. On the back nine, the sequence from holes 12 to 15 is particularly memorable - but the 90-degree dogleg to the right on the penultimate hole and, of course, the long double dogleg at the end with two fairway levels and a challenging green directly in front of the clubhouse and terrace are also wonderful holes.
The gastronomy offers a successful mix of local and international, modern dishes as well as a large selection of excellent wines. Beer drinkers can enjoy the hotel's own Zala Spring Masters. And if the excellent cuisine is used too intensively, the EVERGREEN Health can give you tips on how to optimize your diet.
