The new FootJoy HyperFlex updates the manufacturer's well-known shoe family. The design and technologies of this model are geared towards the requirements of golf on the course, particularly with regard to a combination of comfort, support and movement support.
FootJoy HyperFlex: Functionality and Performance
The shoe features StratoFOAM cushioning in the midsole. This component is designed to absorb shocks when walking and at the same time provide a certain amount of energy return. The aim is to support foot comfort and counteract potential fatigue. An additional OrthoLite Rebound & Recovery FitBed footbed also serves to absorb energy.
Another aspect of the design is the TruFIT system. This system is designed to allow the foot a certain degree of flexibility, while an integrated heel support is intended to ensure a firm fit. The upper of the HyperFlex is made from ControlKNIT, a type of technical knit material with a coating designed for durability and easy cleaning.

High-tech in a golf shoe
Outsole construction plays a role in performance during the swing. The PowerPlate outsole is designed to support the transfer of energy to the ground and minimize the twisting of the shoe during rotational movements. A so-called TPU saddle in the upper foot area is also part of this system and is designed to absorb movements. The OptiFlex outsole is equipped with traction elements at selected points, which are designed to react to different swing forces. In combination with Softspikes and additional traction elements, the aim is to achieve versatile traction ("omnidirectional traction"). The flexibility of the OptiFlex sole is also intended to support adaptation to the natural movement of the foot when walking and reduce fatigue.

The FootJoy HyperFlex is available in two versions that differ in one specific feature:
HyperFlex: The standard model, which integrates the technologies mentioned above. It has been available since May 30.
Recommended retail price: 220 €/CHF
HyperFlex Carbon: This version also has a molded carbon fiber PowerPlate in the sole. This carbon fiber insert is designed to further increase resistance to rotational forces and improve stability. The sales launch for the HyperFlex Carbon is not yet known. FootJoy itself says that the golf shoe will be launched "later in 2025".
Recommended retail price: 260 €/CHF
