The new FootJoy HyperFlex updates the manufacturer’s well-known line of shoes. The design and technologies of this model are tailored to the demands of playing golf on the course, with a particular focus on combining comfort, support, and freedom of movement.
FootJoy HyperFlex: Functionality and Performance
The shoe features StratoFOAM cushioning in the midsole. This component is designed to absorb impact while walking and simultaneously provide some energy return. The goal is to enhance foot comfort and help prevent fatigue. An additional OrthoLite Rebound & Recovery FitBed insole also aids in energy absorption.
Another aspect of the design is the TruFIT system. This system is intended to provide the foot with a certain degree of flexibility, while an integrated heel support ensures a secure fit. The HyperFlex’s upper is made of ControlKNIT, a type of technical knit material with a coating designed for durability and easy cleaning.

High-Tech in Golf Shoes
The outsole construction plays a role in performance during the swing. The PowerPlate outsole is designed to support energy transfer to the ground and minimize the shoe’s torsion during rotational movements. A so-called TPU gusset in the forefoot area is also part of this system and is intended to absorb movement. The OptiFlex outsole features strategically placed traction elements at select points, designed to respond to varying swing forces. In combination with Softspikes and additional traction elements, this is intended to provide versatile grip (“omnidirectional traction”). The flexibility of the OptiFlex sole is also designed to support adaptation to the foot’s natural movement while walking and reduce fatigue.

FootJoy HyperFlex: Models, Specifications, and Price:
The FootJoy HyperFlex is available in two versions, which differ in one specific feature:
HyperFlex: The standard model, which incorporates the technologies mentioned above. It has been available since May 30.
Suggested retail price: 220 €/CHF
HyperFlex Carbon: This version also features a molded carbon fiber PowerPlate in the sole. This carbon fiber insert is designed to further increase resistance to rotational forces and improve stability. The launch date for the HyperFlex Carbon has not yet been announced. FootJoy itself says the golf shoe is expected to “hit the market later in 2025.”
