Cobra presents the new DS Adapt Iron series, which appeals to a wide range of golfers with medium to high handicaps with two model variants - Standard and MAX. The Irons have been designed to offer maximum length and forgiveness, making the game easier for golfers of all abilities.
The Cobra DS-Adapt Iron series is equipped with a range of advanced technologies tailored to the needs of golfers looking for supportive golf clubs:
- 360 Speedshell face: Cobra's largest face cup design extends across the entire toe and sole area for increased face flexibility. This results in more ball speed and distance, especially on off-center hits.
- H.O.T. Face Technology: The face topology has been optimized to maximize ball speed across the entire face. This leads to more consistent results and more distance, even on less than optimal hits.
- PWR-Bridge Weighting: The redesigned weighting uses the weight saved by the hollow body construction to lower the center of gravity. This results in a higher launch and an optimal combination of distance and forgiveness.
- Hollow body construction with foam microspheres: The hollow body construction increases the flexibility of the body and clubface, resulting in more ball speed and an easier ball launch. The hollow body filled with foam microspheres ensures a pleasant sound and a soft feel.
- TECFLO Construction: The progressive construction uses different designs for long, medium and short irons to optimize gapping and improve the overall performance of the set.
The DS-Adapt standard model has been specially developed for golfers with a medium handicap who are looking for a balanced combination of length, forgiveness and precision. The progressive TECFLO construction ensures optimum performance in all areas of the game. The different designs for long, medium and short irons optimize gapping and improve the overall performance of the set.
The Cobra DS-Adapt MAX model, on the other hand, is a forgiving alternative for golfers with a high handicap and moderate swing speed. The oversize head, the high moment of inertia, the weaker lofts, the wider sole and the additional offset ensure maximum forgiveness, an easy ball launch and a straighter ball flight. Compared to the standard model, the MAX model offers a higher launch, more spin, a higher trajectory, a steeper launch angle and a pronounced draw tendency. This model is suitable for golfers who struggle with a Slice and are looking for more support on their shots.
The DS-Adapt MAX Irons are also available in a women's model to give female golfers the opportunity to benefit from the advantages of these forgiving irons.
The Cobra DS-Adapt Iron series offers golfers with a medium to high handicap a combination of length, forgiveness and performance. With advanced technologies and two model variants tailored to different types of players, Cobra Golf aims to increase its market share in the game improvement iron sector.
"COBRA has long been a leader in Game Improvement Irons, but the new DS-ADAPT family represents a significant breakthrough in both Performance and Fitting," said Jose Miraflor, VP of Product Architecture and Consumer Connections at Cobra Puma Golf. "We have two models that fit a large group of players with different swing tempos, all looking for maximum distance, exceptional forgiveness and optimal overall performance."
The Cobra DS-Adapt Irons will be available in stores from January 17, 2025. The RRP is EUR 899 for the steel set and EUR 1,169 for the graphite set.
