The DP World Tour makes its debut in Tyrol: From May 28 to 31, 2026, Europe's best golfers will compete at Golfclub Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith for the title of the Austrian Alpine Open presented by Kitzbühel Tirol. With Sepp Straka as the top favourite, defending champion Nicolai von Dellingshausen, and a total prize fund of 2.75 million US dollars, the tournament is the sporting highlight of the Austrian golf summer. Here you will find all starting times, tee times, and the most important information about the event.
Here you can find the leaderboard for the Austrian Alpine Open 2026.
The starting times for the first round at a glance. Featured Group: Sepp Straka, Nicolai von Dellingshausen, and Casey Jarvis will tee off together at 07:50 AM from Hole 10.
In Round 2, the starting holes switch: Those who started from Hole 1 on Thursday will begin at Hole 10 on Friday – and vice versa. Straka, von Dellingshausen, and Jarvis will tee off this time at 1:05 PM from Hole 1.
The field for the Austrian Alpine Open 2026 combines world-class golf with Austrian local flair. Leading the charge is Sepp Straka (AUT, World No. 15), who is finally returning to his home tournament after an eight-year break and enters the week as the clear top favourite. Alongside him – at least for the first two rounds – will start Nicolai von Dellingshausen (GER), who aims to defend his maiden DP World Tour victory from last year.
Featuring Bernd Wiesberger , another Austrian star takes center stage: The 40-year-old only just won his ninth DP World Tour title in April 2026, bringing fresh confidence to Kitzbühel. The local contingent is completed by Maximilian Steinlechner, Matthias Schwab, Lukas Nemecz , as well as a host of other Austrian players.
Internationally, standing out are Casey Jarvis (RSA, currently 4th in the Race to Dubai), Yurav Premlall (RSA, European Swing Leader) and Richard Sterne (RSA, Soudal Open winner 2026) among the favorites. A special highlight is the participation of Kipp Popert (ENG), world number one in G4D Golf, who will compete in the regular field.
The 2026 Austrian Alpine Open will be broadcast live in Germany on MagentaSport Golf :
In addition, Servus TV is once again a media partner for the tournament. Last year, the broadcaster showed a free livestream daily from 1 PM – whether this will also apply in 2026 has not yet been officially confirmed.
Those who wish to experience the tournament live on site can purchase tickets directly from the organizer. Advance booking is recommended – a surcharge of 5 Euros will be applied at the box office.
The Austrian Alpine Open is the third tournament of the 2026 European Swing – a tournament series where the overall standings offer attractive additional prizes. The Swing winner receives entry to all Phase 2 events of the season, as well as a bonus of 200,000 US dollars. Currently, South African Yurav Premlall leads the Swing standings, followed by Richard Sterne and Shaun Norris.
Furthermore, players are competing for valuable points in the Race to Dubai – the season-long ranking of the DP World Tour, which at the end of the year determines participation in the DP World Tour Championship.
