New Callaway Golf Clubs for Kids: A Look at the XJ and XT Sets
From the first swing to the first handicap: The new Callaway golf club sets for kids offer high-tech features for every age group. Find out which set is right for your child.
Callaway is updating its lineup of golf clubs for children and teens. With the XJ and XT series, the brand covers the entire spectrum—from four-year-old beginners to ambitious teens. Callaway is incorporating technologies typically found in the bags of professional golfers. For 2026, the Carlsbad-based company is launching a completely revamped lineup of golf club sets for children and teens, including a golf bag. The goal is clearly defined: to provide children and teens with equipment that is not just “smaller,” but technologically on par with adult clubs.

Callaway XJ Series: Golf Clubs for Kids with a “Level System”
A common mistake when buying children’s clubs is basing the choice on age rather than height. Callaway addresses this issue with a three-tiered classification system for the XJ Series, which ensures that club length and weight are precisely matched to the child’s physical development:
- XJ1 (Level 1): Designed for the youngest golfers (approx. 107 cm to 117 cm). The 4-piece starter set (fairway wood, Iron 7, Sand Wedge, Putter) is designed with lightness in mind.
- XJ2 (Level 2): For players between 119 cm and 135 cm. Here, the set is supplemented with a Driver and an Iron 9 to open up initial tactical possibilities on the course.
- XJ3 (Level 3): The bridge for children from 137 cm to 155 cm. With seven clubs, including a Hybrid, this set is designed for young golfers who already play regularly on the course.
Callaway XT Series: Performance Equipment for Teens
When the XJ Series reaches its limits, the Callaway XT set takes over. It’s specifically designed for teenagers who are developing more power and want to take their performance to the next level. The XT set is no longer just a “toy”: It features a genuine titanium Driver and high-quality graphite shafts to ensure maximum distance and forgiveness. With a total of 10 clubs (including Irons 6–SW and a Putter), it offers full “course coverage,” ensuring that teens have the right club in their bag for every playing situation.

Why Quality Makes All the Difference in Youth Sports
When shopping for golf clubs for kids, it makes perfect sense to look beyond cheap sets and toward premium brands like Callaway. Cheap clubs often suffer from poor durability and a lack of forgiveness. The quality from major, well-known manufacturers is reliable. Callaway specifically incorporates technologies into its new series that enlarge the “sweet spot.” This ensures straighter shots even on off-center hits—a crucial factor in maintaining long-term enjoyment of the sport and minimizing frustration.
The new sets are more than just a cosmetic refresh. The use of ultra-lightweight components and graphite clubs actively boosts swing speed. Each set also comes with a matching Standbag.
